The Training and Courses Sub Committee organises events on behalf of the GSCCA including:-
- Annual Update courses on accounting auditing standards and taxation
- General Update course covering soft skills and topical issues
- Annual Tax courses
- Lunchtime presentations on current issues and technical subject matter
- GSCCA Annual Quiz
- Sponsoring the ‘Design an Ad’ Competition for local school children
The Sub Committee also co-ordinates the GSCCA's efforts to promote accountancy as a career within schools by making annual presentations to sixth form students.
Any ideas for new courses and events or improvements to current activity would be welcome to ensure the GSCCA continues to be a relevant and valued part of the accountancy profession in Guernsey.
